WHY WE HAD TO COME BACK

Before The Prime Project, Rob and Lauren Davis lived inside high-volume training — not as spectators, but as builders.

Rob spent years as an athlete, a coach, and the owner of one of the largest CrossFit gyms in the world. Lauren was there alongside him, watching the human side of performance unfold day after day — the wins, the burnout, the quiet breakdowns no leaderboard ever shows.

Together, they worked with hundreds of athletes across every age and ability level and had a front-row seat to the highest levels of the sport. What they saw was consistent and impossible to ignore:

The methods that build capacity in your 20s and 30s quietly start to erode people in their 40s and beyond.

Not overnight. Not dramatically. But relentlessly.

Joints stopped recovering. Hormones stopped cooperating. Effort went up while returns diminished. Athletes blamed themselves — when the system was the real problem.

The Prime Protocol exists because Rob and Lauren refused to accept that outcome as “normal.”
